I’m trying to create webmapping of the latest quake on earth.
Worldwide earthquake in the last 7 days (based on worldkit and geofon usgs)
It’s really bugging me. The dots won’t show up on server, it was OK when I tested on local computer It works now!! (Oct 30, 2005 03:32 am). Update freq: 1 hour (every 00 min).

OK! I give up. I’ve read all the documentation and still can’t get no clue to make it works over a website. May be it won’t take rss from different site or may be I’m too lazy to code or learn the code.
But you can make your own earthquake monitoring on your dekstop, or better, make it work on a website.
Just….
- download worldkit here,
- extract the file,
- open
config.xmlwith text editor such as notepad, vi or jEdit and change “dataurl” to»link«,http://geof.bmg.go.id/rss.xml- open
index.htmlwith your browser, and voila!! a custom earthquake webmapping that can make millions rupiahs’s govt owned site worth nothing. If you’re interested to hack this app, download the flash movie source too, it’s open source!
And don’t forget to tell me if your website have this webmapping feature

Well, I ain’t yet…

If you see what I see, you will see the dots showing the latest quake worldwide with M>2.5, and I change the data source from geofon to usgs
Looks like it won’t read data file from different site/folder, even samples at worldkit site use rss from the same folder.
